เราไม่อาจแน่ใจได้ว่านักอ่านหรือนักเขียนคนอื่น ๆ จะเคยมีความรู้สึกนี้ที่ว่าการเป็นคนชอบการอ่านและหลงรักในหนังสือและงานเขียน มันส่งผลทำให้การค้นพบกลุ่มเพื่อนที่มีความสนใจคล้าย ๆ กันกับตัวเองเป็นเรื่องที่ยากหรือไม่ เพราะหลายคนมักชอบสรุปไปเองว่า “เมื่อชอบอ่านหนังสือ ก็ต้องชอบเก็บตัว ชอบอยู่คนเดียวอยู่ตลอด” ซึ่งความคิดเห็นของคนกลุ่มนี้ไม่ได้ผิดแต่อย่างใด แต่แน่นอนว่ามันยังมีมุมมองที่หลากหลาย แตกต่างและกว้างออกไปมากกว่านี้ที่ให้เราได้ลองมอง
I’m not sure if any readers and writers have ever struggled with this similar feeling that I’ve always had. The feeling that being a person who reads a lot and is passionate about books makes it harder for him/her to find their people. Because others usually assume that “you love to read so you must hide yourself away and prefer to be alone at all times.” Which, I’m not here to argue or judge that this point of view is wrong, but don’t you think there are more different insights for us to learn from this? Anyway, I guarantee you that there are, and I’m here to share them!
ส่วนตัว มุมมองของเราเราคิดว่าการที่คนรักการอ่านหนังสือบางส่วนอาจจะไม่ค่อยเลือกแสดงออกความรู้สึก ความคิดหรือพูดคุยกับทุกคนที่เข้ามาในชีวิตของเขาได้อย่างเป็นกันเองและเป็นธรรมชาติอยู่เสมอ ก็เพราะว่าพวกเขาเลือกที่จะเก็บสิ่งเหล่านั้นไว้แชร์กับคนที่มีแนวคิดและวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตที่คล้ายกันกับเขา และเขาก็มั่นใจว่าคนคนนั้นอยากจะรับฟังและพร้อมจะเข้าใจเรื่องราวของเขาจริง ๆ เรื่องราวในที่นี้ไม่ได้มีเพียงแค่เรื่องของชีวิตจริงของเขาหรอกนะ แต่มันยังมีส่วนประกอบจากเรื่องเล่าของโลกอีกใบหนึ่งที่ถูกสร้างให้มีตัวตนขึ้นมาได้ด้วยตัวหนังสือ
Personally, I think that people who love to read don’t naturally express their feelings and ideas or share their life’s story with everyone that enters their life because they reserve those valuable details for people who really care to listen to them, have an alike perspective to live their life and understand this bookish lifestyle. And another thing you should prepare yourself to experience is that, the story from a reader or a writer is not only about their reality, but it also mainly revolves around another world that has been created by words, words, words.
ทุกคนพอจะจินตนาการออกไหมว่าเมื่อเราได้ยินว่า “ลองหาไอเดียจัดกิจกรรมที่ร้านดูก็ได้นะ ไอเดียแบบ Book club หรืออะไรอย่างนี้” ตอนประชุมงาน หัวใจของเราจะเต้นออกมาเป็นจังหวะเพลงแบบไหน เรานึกอะไรไม่ออกนอกจากความรู้สึกที่เคยแอบหวังและฝันไว้ว่าวันหนึ่งคนที่ชอบอ่านหนังสือและรักในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์จะต้องมีโอกาสได้มารวมตัวกันสักวัน เพื่อทำให้ความรักต่อสิ่งเหล่านั้นของพวกเขาแข็งแกร่งมากขึ้น และแสดงออกให้ผู้อื่นเห็นว่าหนังสือทุก ๆ เล่มนั้นมันมีความมหัศจรรย์ซ่อนอยู่ในนั้นเยอะแยะแค่ไหน
Let’s imagine the moment when a bookworm heard that “next time, you should present us with new event ideas like a book club or something” during a meeting. It was like sensing another dream coming true. My inner, deep wish to one day have someone I could talk about books and my love for reading without being looked at like I’m too strange to be around could happen, so this seems to truly be an opportunity for all book lovers and readers to come and share about how fascinating books really are and why other should pick them up.
